Football Betting Tips – There’s Goals Galore When These Five Teams Take to the Field

Goals. We all love them – they are the only currency that matters in football, more so than however many millions a club spends on players.

Punters love the ball being stuffed in the old onion bag too, and high-scoring matches offer untold opportunities. After all, the more goals that are scored in a single game, the bigger the odds and the brighter our prospects.

There are some sides – plenty in England, stacks from across Europe – that love scoring goals but just don’t know how to stop their opposition from doing their same. So who are these net-busting fiends, and how can we back them this weekend?

Leicester City

They are the gift that keeps on giving for goals market punters. The Foxes have scored 29 and conceded 21 in fourteen league outings, and so far have yet to fail to score in a Premier League game in 2015/16.

You’d imagine for a side that has lost just once all season they’d keep things tight defensively, but oh no: they have kept just two clean sheets in fourteen. Leicester like to do things the hard way.

This Saturday they travel to Swansea, and both teams to score at 8/13 looks a sensible bet.

Fulham

Managerless Fulham are an absolute goldmine in the Both Teams To Score shake-up, and if you’d backed that outcome in all of their last six matches you’d be enjoying plenty of riches given that their run reads 1-1, 1-1, 2-5, 1-3, 4-1, 4-2.

On Saturday they travel to Nottingham to take on Forest, and while they aren’t the most prolific of sides they have burst into life recently with a 3-1 win over Reading and a 1-2 defeat at Brentford.

Once again, Both Teams To Score appears to be the smart bet at 13/20.

Peterborough

We keep billing them as the team to watch as far as goals are concerned, but they keep coming up with the goods. Peterborough have won five of their last six games, scoring twenty and conceding seven. They have a refreshing attitude to the game that harks back to the Newcastle United sides of Kevin Keegan’s rein: we’re going to score one goal (at least) more than you.

On Saturday December 12 they host Shrewsbury, an inconsistent side that has gone Over 3.5 Goals in their last three outings. What will happen here? The scoreboard operator at London Road is going to be very busy, presumably.

Carlisle United

Oh what a time to be a Carlisle United supporter. They are riding high in League Two and they love to give their fans a show: they have only failed to score in two of their eighteen games this season….and kept a clean sheet in just two as well.

On Saturday December 12 they travel to table toppers Oxford United in a match that should see both teams finding the net.

Halifax Town

Ah Halifax Town. Mere words simply don’t cut it when trying to describe their thirst for goals, so we’ll let their last six results do the talking instead:

  • Halifax 4-2 Dover
  • Gateshead 1-4 Halifax
  • Halifax 3-6 Braintree
  • Eastleigh 2-1 Halifax
  • Chester 2-1 Halifax
  • Grimsby 7-0 Halifax

There is little else to say, other than their match with a Guiseley side that has gone Over 2.5 Goals in seven of their last ten matches should be a cracker!
